ABOUT US

Limited Edition Books was founded in 2005 by partners Kirstie Savill and Trevor Ulyatt who each have more than a decade of experience in the design, digital print and Internet industries. We are located in the rural heart of Hawke's Bay in the North Island of New Zealand.

Recently, we made the decision to move away from general print and re-tool to specialise in limited edition book production. By this we mean to include family histories, anniversary and souvenir publications, childrens' books, picture books, poetry, how-to-do-it books and novels, to name but a few. Additionally, we offer a range of services, materials and finishing to suit all manner of authors' budgets and intentions. If the offerings in the pages that follow do not precisely meet your requirements, we invite you to contact us with details so that we might look at the feasibility of your project and return a quotation. You will find us helpful, easy to deal with, and supportive as we move together through the process of getting your book into the marketplace.

Regardless of how many or how few options you choose in the following pages, the fees specified include the allocation of an ISBN, a pre-press proof, and the cost of getting that proof copy to you.

Incidently, some print-on-demand publishing houses claim to have invented the method. Strictly speaking, this is not true. When the cost of computer hard drive storage dropped significantly a few years back, major manufacturers included them in their printers so that jobs could be stored ready to print in seconds. The expression print-on-demand came from the that manufacturing sector. We have simply applied this technological advancement to the publishing industry.

Soon to be added to the Limited Edition Books site - a universal currency convertor, and PayPal on-line payment system for authors' publishing contracts and book purchases. Prices are expressed in New Zealand dollars and include GST within this country.

Sincerely,
Kirstie and Trevor.
